Chapter 108
Thea’s POV
I stepped out of the washing room, carefully adjusting my robe so it drapes securely over my body while beads of water trickle down my skin. My gaze fell on the figure waiting for me on the bed, and I felt a jolt of urgency. Hastily, I made my way to the door—surprisingly, it wasn’t even locked from the inside. With a resigned sigh, I sealed it shut with a flick of my magic and spun back around. My brown eyes met those of my lover, comfortably seated atop the duvet.
“Seriously, anyone could have wandered in and found you here,” I chided as I tossed the dripping towel onto the dressing table. Noticing my brooch lying beside it, I picked it up and tossed it into my wooden drawer, closing it with a soft click. I grabbed a fresh towel to dry my wet, tangled hair.
“By anyone, you mean Draven, don’t you?” he said quietly from behind me. I caught his expression in the mirror—amusement dancing in his eyes.
“This isn’t the time to be reckless, love,”
