Draven’s POV
I was still meeting with my warriors—Dorian, Mason, and Galen—when the door burst open. I looked up and locked eyes with Seraphine’s deep purple orbs. Her crystalline gaze held an emotion I’d never seen before, and it felt as though my heart would burst from my chest.
“Everyone, leave. Now.” I ordered, refusing to break eye contact with Seraphine. The last time I’d seen her was when I handed off Thea’s belongings. Gwen had told me Seraphine had rushed out of the pack, and now, by the look on her face, she’d returned straight here.
One by one, the warriors filed out, leaving only Dorian, Seraphine, and me. Seraphine strode forward. I gestured at a chair, but she shook her head.
“What happened, Seraphine?” Dorian asked, stepping closer. He, too, sensed her agitation.
“This is unbelievable. You can’t imagine what I just found out,” she muttered, and for a fleeting second, her purple eyes flickered with pure rage.
