"Elizabeth...
She would recognize that voice anywhere, even in this place between life and death. Carefully, she stood up, moving her head from side to side to locate the source of the sound. However, she lost her balance and fell onto her bent knees, letting out a groan as she felt the impact.

She turned her head to the right. There was a mist covering everything around her, making it difficult to see beyond a few meters. She raised her hands, only to realize they were covered in sand, just like her clothes.
Where was she? Wasn't this the limbo that bridged the living and the dead?
"Julián, please speak to me," she pleaded, repeating the words over and over until her throat felt raspy from the effort. "Please," she whispered, curling up on the ground and closing her eyes. She tried to convince herself that she was delirious, as Julián had died, and there was no humanly possible way she could see him again.
