I heard her take a sharp breath before speaking further, “Aaron, thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for protecting me against every odds and trouble. Heck, thank you for taking a bullet for me.” Her voice cracked slightly at the end, but it softened as she said, “But mostly, thank you for loving me.”
