“This way, sir.”

The nurse led the way for me and Ruel, the housekeeper who told me the awful news. I’m still in my home clothes with no sleep or any rest. The struggle of knowing something as bad as that in the middle of the night comes with a lot of consequences. And I know I should tell Olivia about it… but it was 1 in the morning, and I didn’t want to ruin her peaceful slumber with disheartening news.

Ruel and I were in a rush to keep up with the nurse. He said Dad was taken to the emergency room as quickly as they could after his heart attack.

The heart attack sounded serious, and I started to worry. I can’t lose him. Not this time. The company still needs its President. Please, hold on, Dad.

“Doctor… they’re the family of Mr. Dionzon,” the nurse stopped in front of the emergency room. Just in time, a doctor was outside.

“Please wait here, sir. The team’s still doing their best to resuscitate him the best they can.”
