Chapter 112. Insomniac

“You look sullen.”
Suddenly the gap between me and Olivia on the bed got a little bigger. There’s a bolster placed in between by either of us and I’m not sure who exactly. I just know it’s something that stopped us from cuddling… or even getting closer to each other as to touch skin.
“I don’t. Just tired from the day, maybe,” I said and rubbed Olivia’s right leg.
She was reading a self-help book beside me; she sat up with her right leg raised, the book resting atop the raised leg, and her back supported by the headboard. On the other hand, I collapsed on the bed in my back half an hour ago. Since then, I keep looking at the ceiling, the small cobweb at the corner the housekeeper must have missed. Or decided to stay as it is because of its unreachable height. Who knows?
“You were in the office the whole day, right? Or did you run some errands?”
“I stayed in the office.”
