I searched Olivia’s face for any hint of emotion, something that would tell me it wasn’t as crazy as I thought it would be. Yet I saw none. Her face’s like a blank slate.

“Honey?” I asked after half a minute. Did she freeze or something?

“Give me a moment, please. I’m…”

She kept her gaze away from me. Her eyes went all around the room, searching for something I don’t know.

I was waiting in anticipation. How come I haven’t thought of it before? I could have used a hand in all these serious works in the office. Now that Dad’s gone, I need it the most. I need her the most.

“Honey, I’m flattered you value me that much that you want me to a be a part of all this,” Olivia finally said and I couldn’t contain my smile.

“Good. Is it fine that I’m already taking this as a yes?”

She laughed.

“Are you sure about this? I’ll be all over you all day. I have to be everywhere. Won’t you get sick of me that way?”

“Preposterous. Why wou
