Chapter 58. Love Will Betray

Madeline's POV

"You should not judge a person based on their appearance. Instead, know their stories and try to put yourself in their feet, so you could understand," I mumbled to the countess and looked up to him. "They were the words he told me before he made me sleep. I mean, I was just trying to point out that Elizabeth seemingly liked him and he should not give in to his seduction. Was it wrong providing him a warning?"

The countess merely listened to me as I ranted the conversation Uriel and I had earlier. Currently, I am in her paradise inside my dreams since I slept inside the room of Elizabeth's house. Meanwhile, Uriel went to the nearby sofa so he could rest and I can regain all of my strength before we go to the place of wizards and witches. After falling to sleep, I found the countess beside the majestic lake while she was playing with the water. 

"I don't know what is wrong with him!" I continued and crossed my arms.
