Chapter 15. The Forest Is Dangerous!

“Is my phone with you, Dad?” Megan asked after her brothers left. 

“No. When was the last time you used it?” 

“I had it at the market.” She replied. 

Megan had discovered that she couldn't find her phone. If not, she would have called Ryan. “Can I use yours to call it?” She asked. 

“Don't worry about it. Tomorrow, I will get you another phone. Now try to sleep. It's almost morning.” Oliver said, as he was reminded once again, that she had gone through a lot. “Do you want me to stay with you?” He asked. 

“No, Dad, I am fine. You should go rest too.” She managed a smile just to reassure him. 

And get him out of her room.

Megan had things to do.

After hearing the story about her ancestors and the crime her father had committed, Megan knew that if she wanted to survive and have an iota of happiness in her life, she had to leave. Before Alaric left her room, Megan already developed a pressuring sense of urgency
