Chapter 20. The Cave

Since they left the cave, Ryan had not been able to get over Alaric's taunting. His wolf was restless, anxious to claim his new mate before someone came to take her away. 

When it was time to sleep, Ryan's wolf wanted to play, but Ryan refused it, insisting that they should sleep. Unfortunately for him, Megan wasn't helping matters. He had thought she was unaware of her weird body movement until he felt her body shake due to a soft giggling. Realizing that this girl was intentionally tormenting him, Ryan nearly lost his self-restraint as he decided to stop moving, thinking that she would stop her games and shy away. Before he could get any type of response from Megan, a deep throated roar surged from the deepest part of the forest and disrupted the peace of the night. 

“A bear?!” Ryan muttered in shock as he and Megan hurriedly stood up.
