Chapter 77. Kidnapped

Matt’s POV

Our power went off just as I walked out of the toilet after taking a piss.

“Shit!” I cursed out immediately.

It was still dark outside with the moon in full view.

Using its reflection from the window, I half blindly stumbled into the room and began searching for my phone.

As soon as I found it, I turned on the flashlight before walking out of the room.

I bumped into Dad. “Hey, what do you think is wrong?”

He shrugged. “I don’t know. We’ll just have to check. I haven’t been down there in a while. Probably a short circuit or something.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll check it out myself.”

“You sure?”

“Yeah, I’ve got this.”

I had barely taken a step when I felt a cold metal on the side of my face.

“Don’t move,” a cold voice whispered in the dark.

In a second, more men emerged from the dark with drawn silencers pointed at me and Dad.
