Chapter 78. A Package

Blake’s POV

“Leave it on my table,” I said to Grace without turning around. I heard her walk to the desk and place the package there.

“Miss Blake, are you okay?” she asked in a soft voice.

“Yes, I’m fine,” I managed to murmur in a soft voice.

“I know everything that has been happening is quite a lot. You must be feeling regretful about all of it. But personally, Miss Blake, I think you handled it well.”

“I didn’t, Grace. There’s no need to be nice. Everything has gone downhill, and I’m about to lose it. I’ve failed, Grace. Failed woefully in the eyes of the whole world.”

“I don’t think it is over, Miss Blake. Don’t give up so soon.”
