Lena’s POV

The last time I spoke to Liana about her parents, I asked if she had ever requested from Ian that she wanted to meet her parents and she shook her head in response.

“Why?” I asked, giving her a confused look. “It’s been four years. It might have allowed you to see them, even if it’s just for a day.”

She sighed and looked down at her hands. “I didn’t ask because I’m scared to face them. They probably still hate me for everything that happened.” She sniffed.
