Chapter 130. He Knows About the Affair
For a second, my body hesitated to move, and then I was out of the car and running around to the front while Axel repeatedly asked what was wrong over the phone.
Brain conjuring a thousand different scenes on how my night would end if I had really just killed someone, I stopped in front of my car.
My heart thumped, and for one second my vision blurred as I stared at the man lying at an odd angle on the ground.
But he was breathing and when I moved forward, he turned.
“Henry?” I yelped, crouching low to look him in the eye.
He was all beat up and bloody, groaning as he struggled up into a seating position. And although he had a glazed look when he opened his eyes, he made an attempt to smile as he said, “I will go to the hospital. But I thought you should know.”
