When it was time for lunch, I hesitated, but in the split second before he returned from the bathroom, I added it to his glass of smoothie.
As he closed the bathroom door, I walked into the closet like it was just another day and began to fix the purse I would take to the gala that night.
One of the domestic staff knocked on the door then to announce that the makeup team were here and waiting in my beauty room.
On my way, I found him sitting up on the bed, lunch done and dishes cleared. But he caught my hand as I walked past him.
