The board did not bother to veil their murmurings anymore. They shared meaningful looks, making faces I feared might finally break my self-control. 

“I say we vote.” Leonardo Rossi spoke up for the first time.

I stiffened. What? 

How could they want to vote on something that was so clear? 

Olivia was the biggest shareholder, and more business savvy than anyone, so why the hell was this up for debate?

But before I could say a word, the others were already nodding in agreement.

This couldn't be real. It felt like a bloody movie. 

Were they doing this because of the affair rumors? Or simply because she was a wife? 

Because there was no doubt about her competence, she literally saved this company and all their shares.
