Chapter 33. He Is Not Going to Stop
Ava’s POV
I pulled into the building’s parking lot and breathed a deep sigh. Though I was tired and burned out from work, I still had a duty to my daughter. I had to leave work earlier to pick her up from school since Mason was going to be a bit busy for the entire week.
“Mommy,” Sophie cried beside me as we came down from the car. “Can I have ice cream today?”
Looking down at her, I was greeted by her puppy dogs that I had trained myself to be immune to, but Mason fell for them every time. “Okay, sweetie.” I agreed, only because I wanted to.
“Yay.” Sophie hopped beside me as we made our way into the building, singing a nursery rhyme together. I froze in my steps when I noticed someone leaning on the wall beside my door and that person was none other than Max.
