Chapter 32. My Brother’s Child
Max’s POV
The moment I was outside the hospital, I took a deep breath, trying to clear the frustration that my family never seemed to move past. My father’s words still echoed in my mind, he had no clue the way they had pushed Mason so hard past his limits that he had no other option but to flee. And now they were doing it to me, but while Mason had bolted and ran, I wasn’t. I was going to rescue my brother and save my family from falling apart.
I picked up my phone and called my assistant. “Book a flight to Seattle for tomorrow morning,” I told him. “And have the office inform them that I’ll be there longer than originally anticipated.”
“Okay sir.”
I undid my tie and made my way to my car, the phone still in my hand. If Mason wasn’t going to be reasonable, then I’d have to approach him from the other side. I called my private investigator.
