Chapter 19
“Well, I was not thinking straight…” she had said when Whitney had gasped and then asked,
“Why on earth did you let go your skirts?!”
She was now watching with horror in her eyes. Was she not always horrified at the smallest things?
“Well, I am so embarrassed that I wish I could find a way to stop seeing him altogether. It would embarrass me to no end, Whit,” she had cried.
“Hey, brace your ass up. You are crying and so embarrassed because your boss saw your ass?”
“No! He did not see my ass!” she argued.
Whitney laughed then. Her laughter eased the tension that had built inside of them. She was not going to have her friend beat herself up over something that was past and one she definitely could not change.
