Chapter 20
When Antonia woke up, there was no Marc by her side. How had she slept so much? She had not thought she would sleep so much.
When did he leave? Had he checked out without her? Her thoughts were still in a jumbled mess when she saw him. He was dressed up and was by the dressing mirror, adjusting his clothes for the last time.
“I’ll be on my way now, princess. I have a flight to catch and, trust me, I’ll be in a meeting by noon. It’s an imperative one,” he said as he picked up his briefcase.
He was leaving her and he had not even said good morning to her. She was angry again. It bothered her that he could infuriate her that much. He was leaving her like she was some whore that he had had a good time with during the night and was going to pay for her services, so there was no need for pleasantries. She was naked under the heavy blankets and he was all dressed up. She had expected to wake up to him. If they had had sex all night, why could he not play the lover to her
