“No, don’t stop her from speaking. You are smart, but sooner you will learn more about life,” Reynolds said with no offensive tone attached.
“Can we leave now?”
Alicia said with a forced smile at Helen. Tony dragged her by the hand, moving forward and leaving Alicia and Rey behind them.
Alicia wasn’t upset with Helen for speaking her mind—especially to Rey—but for not knowing when and where to be quiet.
“Uhhm? We will go in our car.”
“I didn’t ask.” He walked past her without further uttering a word.
Ah, how can a man be this grumpy and arrogant at the same time? He was always like that—she knew—but was he trying to retaliate for how Helen spoke to him, rather challenged him?
Alicia shook her head and dimmed her eyes like she was about to do something really nasty to him. She wouldn’t dare, but she thought of it. She wasn’t going to hurt him, at least till the contract was done. Plus, he told her the next time she spoke to him without regard
