Chapter 23. Lewis Does His Best to Be a Gentleman
The next morning, he expected to find her at home or probably walking around surveying the house, as he had often seen her doing. When he checked and asked everyone, no one knew where she had gone. However, the guard at the entrance of the house mentioned that she had gone out in jogging clothes. He realized he had messed up big time because, from what her friend Elodie had told him when he had been to their home once, Tiana was fond of going for long jogs in the morning, evening, or whenever she was in a bad mood. This was clearly one of those times.
When he took out his phone to call her, his calls were rejected. He knew for a fact that he had been a jerk the way he spoke the previous evening. Who tells a woman that he was going to tell her children she abandoned them to pursue another man? His friend, to whom he was explaining the entire situation, screamed in disbelief.
