“So, as I was saying…” Monalisa cuts into my thoughts.

I stared up at her and pointed at my chest.

“Me?”

“Yes, I’m talking to you, Colette.”

“It’s Charlotte, actually,” I replied softly.

“So, what do you think I should do to that bitch who caused all this misunderstanding?” she asked, taking a sip from her wine glass.

Seriously? She’s asking me that? I’m getting weird vibes, but I should probably play along.

I shrugged.

“I don’t know. What if she isn’t aware he’s in a relationship?”

She nodded, squinting as if deep in thought.

“Now that you mention it, that could be possible… only if my boyfriend wasn’t a billionaire, a tech genius, and one of the most handsome men on planet Earth. No way would someone that perfect be single, right?”
