I looked up again and saw the attendant grinning mischievously.
Her smile widened like a cat with a bowl of cream.
“Aww… how adorable! Look at you, blushing.”
“I’m not blushing. I’m a grown man,” I muttered under my breath, cursing the warmth in my face. Of course, I was blushing. I knew this would happen anyway.
I cleared my throat. “So, can we get the gifts, please?”
She nodded slowly, the smile still on her face.
I waited patiently.
She leaned forward on the counter, arms squishing her chest together, making her bust fuller.
“Tell you what, follow me. We’ve got a lot more magic upstairs.”
“Okay…” I replied, trying to avoid staring down at her cleavage.
Then she turned and waved to a second girl arranging bouquets near the window.
“Kate! Come help me out.”
The lady named Kate walked to the counter, her eyes on me.
“Hi…” She waved.
I gave her a small nod.
