Chapter 37. Dangerous Visitor

"I never really liked that man. When he used to come here, he would always argue with grandma and disrespect her. That's how bad he is!" Rose grumbled. Rose hugged Lia, causing her to flinch.

"Go to the basement's secret room," Edward ordered while pulling his phone from his jeans pocket. They turned their heads when they heard the doorbell ring. It was probably Juanito.

"Lia, go down to the basement, now!" Edward repeated but this time with authority. While his phone was stuck in his ear, he panicked and gazed out the window.

Lia took a deep breath and forced herself to stand up, even though her limbs felt numb. She tightly gripped Rose's hand as they ran down the basement stairs. 

Edward followed them while he was still on the phone with his guards, making plans in case of huge problems.
