They walked in silence for a few moments.

“I didn’t realize you lived with the vampire at the bar,” Pierre said. “Have you known him for long?”

“I’m only visiting him,” Antoine replied. “And yes, I have.”

“So he’s one of the friends you visit….”

“Maybe,” Antoine said, refusing to give any information away.

“What are you doing in London? Won’t you come back to France with me?” Pierre asked.

“Stop talking about impossible things.”

“You were settled there, weren’t you? You knew Leon and the others. You had an apartment there. Was it really because of me that you chose to leave?”

What about Pierre appearing here, Antoine thought. How did he find him? Did Henri do something to track him down?
