After Pierre had somewhat groomed to the best of his weakened ability, he stumbled to the dining room, where Henri, Jacques, and Yves were already having their breakfast. They looked exhausted and worse for wear as they drank their sweetened chocolate and picked at pastries.

“Good morning,” Pierre said as he took a seat.

Henri grunted a tired greeting, and Pierre received smiles from the others. They rubbed their aching heads and focused on their sustenance. The servants had made them hangover cures of small doses of op**m and glasses of vinegar, which they were to swallow with incredible difficulty. Pierre felt slightly better as he took his cures.

“Alright,” Henri said as he finished his drink. “I’m going to spend the morning in bed. Our itinerary is to catch the overnight train from the Gare de Lyon to Marseilles tonight, so we’re free for the day.”
