Chapter 44
After meeting in the lobby for a sumptuous breakfast, the four men set out on their sightseeing for the day. Their first stop was the Kasbah, where they viewed Islamic buildings dating back to the seventeenth century among the hundreds of mosques located there. It was a place of tangible magic, and Henri and Jacques clearly felt it, too, as they whispered among themselves about how the buildings evoked embodied memories. Pierre idly wondered how old Antoine was as he studied the minarets, tiled walls, and domes from years gone by, thinking how the vampire had visited the continent in the past as well.
