We are still in the air. Zen's big bird remained in the lead, while Evan, I, and Caleb's bird were only going the same speed.

Evan and Caleb were constantly talking about something, while Zen and I were both silent. But it wasn't long before I noticed that the two vampires were already signaling that they were the only ones who understood each other. Why don't they want me and Zen to hear it?

Caleb brought his riding bird closer to Evan and me and whispered softly to me.

"What's Zen Lancelot's big problem? Why doesn't he want to stand by you? I thought you were all right?" Caleb said softly to me, glancing slightly at Zen ahead.

"He's mad, Caleb," I weakly answered. I won't try to force Zen to pay attention to me like before; I know he's angry, and if I force everything to go back to the way it was before, he might distance himself from me even more. The important thing is that he talks to me somehow.

"Mad, huh?" I heard Evan say from behind me.
