“The rogue does have an alpha, the acting leader, but there is something else about them, the heart!” Father John mentioned it, and Emily was surprised. This is the first time she is hearing about the difference between rogues and werewolves.

“They have something they refer to as the heart. The heart keeps them alive as long as the heart is beating. They are immortals. Well, if I must enlighten you further, you must know the heart is a real heart. It’s a light. The holder of the light passes it from generation to generation; when the holder dies, the light is passed to the most vulnerable people in the lineage. The rogues need to find the holder and bring such a person closer to the team because the person might kill the light knowingly or unknowingly. And the holder uses the light to control them and put them in order and lead them alright like real werewolves!” Father John said, and Emily was surprised.

“So they aren’t real werewolves!”
