Chapter 10. Darcian

“If it’s a palace, the food must be good then?”, this was my first question after learning where I am.

“Of course”, replied Darcian. “We have premium quality food.”

“Good, I am hungry. I can’t believe I slept without dinner.”, I prefer food over sleep, so, giving sleep some priority over food doesn’t stand right with me. Maybe a rare case, also due to Darcian’s spell.

As I was busy in my thoughts, a shrill form broke my concentration.

 Stella was awake.

 One additional burden over my shoulder.

 I saw Stella running on the second floor and coming downstairs with the same momentum.

She looked at me before hiding behind my back.

 “Are you selling me?”, she asked.

My eyes rolled at her query. Seriously? That’s what you thought!

 “Why would I do that?”, I asked.

“I don’t know.”, she replied.

“We’re kidnapped.”, I told her.

“We or just me?”, she repeated the same quest
