Chapter 6. Heartbeat

I woke up to the sound of someone whining next to me. I abruptly opened my eyes to witness girls the same age as mine being tied.

It took a while for my brain to register that,

'Oh! You are kidnapped!'

'Thanks for the reminder brain!'

After the reminder, I looked for Stella. And there she is. Still sleeping while droll dripped from her mouth. No doubt she is a heavy sleeper and Darcian's spell had affected her more than anyone else.

I realised that my hands and legs were tied again when I tried to stand up. I took a deep breath before I listened to the girl, "What will we do now?"

"What can we do?", I questioned.

"I want to go home.", she cried.

"Everyone wants to go home."

Then, without a second word, she burst out crying.

"I am afraid."
