Chapter 73
Diala died slowly and painfully. An hour after she passed, Fabian's personal servant, who had come to call her as Fabian requested her presence, opened the door and found her lying on the floor, her blood running in streams from her body. The servant also saw Damon's body nearby. Two corpses were the last thing that he expected to see when he opened the door and he was instantly filled with horror, so much horror that he could not even scream. The Queen of Linerdo was dead. He ran to Fabian's chambers and, breathing heavily, told him what he had seen.
"Impossible!" Fabian barked, and for the first time in weeks, he rolled off the bed. The boy held him by his hand and led him out of his chambers towards Diala's chambers. The walk was slow but they got there eventually. When Fabian saw the body of his wife, he collapsed in tears and anguish. He cried like he never had in his life. His servant called on Anthony who inspected the two bodies.
