Chapter 57. Make Me Forget

Chloe POV

As soon as I noticed a very familiar sandy-blonde guy that was standing in front of us in the queue, my excitement began to wane. With him was Avery and they looked so sweet as her head rested on his shoulder while waiting for their popcorn.

I sighed in relief as I watched them walking away but then Jasper turned his head and looked back at us, and both of us froze as our eyes connected. He was about to move towards me but Avery whispered something in his ear and pulled him inside the movie house.

I let out a soft gasp as I felt the squeezing ache in my heart. So painful that I was afraid I would pass out. Why are they here again? After then, I was reminded that Jasper had previously informed me that Avery's hometown was Worchester. Because her parents were unable to pay her university fees, she was forced to live with her grandmother in Hoboken.
