Isabella’s POV
I’d messed up, and I didn’t need anyone to tell me.
Shit.
I couldn’t feel my limbs—or any part of my body, for that matter. My skin buzzed, and I could swear I felt the blood in my veins slowly crawling to a halt. My vision blurred, and for a quick second, the only thing I could hear was the loud bang that had pulled me and Alessandro away from each other.
It was a miracle how I was still standing on my feet—if I really was on my feet, that is. The world around me seemed to spin, with all the colors merging into one giant and hideous painting. That wasn’t even the worst part.
