Alessandro’s POV
I knew. I already knew. But for some strange reason, watching it again only made me all the more mad.
I never believed in second chances. I personally saw it as a waste of time—an opportunity for people to undermine just how powerful you really were.
Once you were known for being ruthless, no one would dare cross your path. I’d seen it firsthand to know how true it was.
In fact, I’d experienced it—and it wasn’t something pleasant.
I pressed my eyes shut for a split second, and that was all I needed to trigger my memories.
All of a sudden, I was no longer on the rooftop with the woman who had not only broken my trust but made a fool out of me too.
