Chapter 48. Trust Me
Griffin’s POV
I avoided his questioning gaze; I knew he was studying me carefully.
Ethan tugged vigorously at my sleeve again, returning me to the present moment. “Please, Griffin. Ice cream, I’m so hungry.” his little voice chimed.
I turned to look at the little boy, and the excitement bubbled over him as he beamed up at me, and a smile formed on my face. “Sure, little man. Let’s go find you some ice cream. Nice to see you again, Cameron. See you round.”
I waved goodbye to my old friend and turned away. Ethan skipped happily along beside me as if he was My pace quickened as I tried to shake off the lingering tension that seemed to follow me.
