Sofia’s POV

Sterling and I walked into his office together. I had taken the day off from Amethyst as this matter had suddenly taken all of our attention. We were meeting with Mateo today to find out what he may have. Hopefully, it was something that would tell us who this man was and who may have hired him.

“Relax.” Sterling reminded me as he noticed I was slightly tensed up.

“Sorry.” I bit my lip as I sat in the chair he had moved next to his.

“We’re already a step ahead on finding out who he is. We have a slight upper hand here, remember that.” He placed a hand on my thigh firmly to reassure me.

“You should probably get that,” I spoke as I motioned to it.
