Sofia’s POV

Sterling and I walked hand in hand to his office. Mateo would be meeting us again to go over some information he had found on this Gabriel person. Hopefully this time it amounted to something. I just wanted to find out who this man was and why he did this to us. Then maybe we could get some peace of mind finally.

“Good morning.” I greeted Stacey as I noticed she was already sitting at her desk.

“Morning.” She smiled.

I turned to Sterling.

“Go ahead, I’ll be there in a minute.”

“Are you sure?” He looked at me curiously.

“Yes.” I gently used my hand to push him towards the office.

“I just want to catch up with Stacey a little bit.”

“Okay.” He responded as he turned his back and headed inside the office.

I turned back to Stacey. “How are you?”

“I’m good.” She responded with a smile.

“How are you guys doing?”

“For the most part well,” I answered.
