Sterling’s POV

“Come on.” I stretched my arm out as I stood up.

“Where to?” she eyed me weirdly.

“For a ride,” I smirked.

Finally, she caved and placed her hand in mine. Pulling her up against my chest, we began making our way to the stable. I assisted her onto Thunder, my horse, and climbed up behind her. Sofia fixed her gaze directly ahead of her with a death hold on the reins.

“Is this your first time riding a horse?”

She nodded making me chuckle.

“Relax…” I whisper in her ear as I place my hands over hers on the reins.

She took a short breath and eased into my chest. I could feel her getting tense once again as we began to move gently. She eventually felt at ease enough to take in the scenery.

I smiled to myself, thinking of all the times I used to do this. One of my favorite pastimes is riding horses. I miss doing it a lot. We ended ourselves beside the lake after deviating from the trail. I sprang from the horse and
