Sofia’s POV

The next day I sat on the porch swing as I looked toward the gym area. Which I could see from my seat. Sterling was teaching Steel to fight.

At first, Steel was hesitant to even get out of his room, but it took a lot of talking and explaining the situation for him to accept it. So seeing two of them like that is progress in my eyes. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

I initially came here to calm my mind. Leo had been pestering me the whole day. At first, it didn’t bother me much but I couldn’t take it anymore. I noticed him coming from the corner of my eye. I was about to say something when he held up a container of my favorite ice cream.

“I come in peace, pretty lady.” He extended the ice cream to me and I took it. Without glancing at him I dug in.

“Okay, are you willing to listen now?” I asked between my bites.

“Do I have a choice?”

“You’re going to hate us if we keep it from you any longer.” He just shrugged.
