“What?” I was unable to hide my surprise, and they both turned to look at me.

“Are you okay?” Estella asked after noticing the change in my expression.

“No—I mean yes, yes, yes—I am okay.” I spluttered. “It is fine, really! Ha-ha! How about we enjoy the place and take some pictures?” I suggested standing up and pretending to admire the surroundings in order to convince the two bewildered women who were still sitting on the natural staircase.
