Chapter 9. Meeting
Avery’s POV
Before I can even react, the door bursts open, and a group of people swarm inside the suite, making the once quiet atmosphere into a busy one.
“They are here to style you.” Valerie explains, seeing the look of confusion on my face.
I want to say something, but I can’t utter a single word as different hands fly in my direction. Thirty minutes later, I don’t even recognize myself at first when I glance at my reflection in the mirror.
My long hair is curled into bouncy waves. My green eyes seem to have more life in them, and my eye bags are hidden under my makeup, which consists of a smoky eye, red lipstick, concealer, and a natural-looking foundation. I am dressed in a long-sleeved, penciled green gown that stops immediately after my knees, and the chest area is covered in pearls.
