Avery’s POV

Nana breaks the hug, and that cold, distant aura appears on Ethan again.

“Come inside, my children. I am very happy to know that this grandson of mine is married.”

Ethan wears a serious look. “Nana, about the sec—”

Nana interrupts him with a wave of her hand. “No more talks about upgrading the security. This place is beautiful, and I like it this way. Your grandfather dragged me into a whole new world and decided to leave me alone. I am old and no longer a threat to the maf—”

“Nana.” Ethan calls as if to remind her that I am still there. Nana looks at me with a surprised look before turning to face Ethan. “You haven’t told her?”

Ethan shakes his head, and I can see anger replace the playful look in the old madam’s eyes. “you!” She hissed, flicking her fingers at his forehead.

What secret did Ethan just stop Nana from exposing? I mask my curiosity and smile at the interaction between Nana and Ethan.
