Before I could ponder on the thought that just crossed my mind or say anything else, Adrian’s lips hovered right over mine, and he whispered, “I’m crazy about you.”

Then he kissed me.

And everything else faded.

The second our lips met, the air around us shifted.

His hands moved, sliding down my face, my neck, my back, pulling me closer. I felt myself leaning back as he rose onto his feet, tilting my head, and deepening the kiss until I was breathless. Until my fingers were curling into his shirt, and pulling him closer.

Then I felt the mattress against my back.

He was over me now, hovering, pressing into me, his weight deliciously warm, his lips moving against mine like he was making up for every second he had ever spent acting like he didn’t want this as badly as I did.
