The other Alphas and the Supreme Elders stood there for a while longer after Alpha Magnus left. Their chests rose and fell with unrestrained rage, but they knew there was nothing they could do. Nothing at all.

Thinking about everything that had happened, Alpha Magnus was right. Zevara had only acted in self-defense, but did that justify her killing Ashen? Did it?

Ashen was a well-known prince heir, and the fact that a mere Omega had killed him did not speak well at all. Worse still was the fact that they could not punish his murderer—the height of humiliation.

First, they did not know how she had been able to do it. Talon had instructed the guards never to tell anyone about her legendary white wolf, as it would attract unsolicited attention to her. Again, her power might be used for evil agendas, especially since she could not control it yet.

Alpha Rowan stood there, his teeth gritted, fists clenched at his sides, as the memories of
