Zevara’s POV

It has been a week since I was discharged from the hospital, and God—Magnus has been everything I wanted and even more. He cares for me, never lets me lift a finger, and is always by my side, asking how I feel more than a million times a day. He makes sure I have no time to think about Talon anymore. The only place I go is college, which he drops me off at every morning and picks me up from immediately after lectures.

For now, no one knows about my pregnancy except the few of us who already do. We intend to keep it private for the time being—to protect our babies’ image from the rumours and speculations that would start flying if people found out.

Today, I sit on a bench by the poolside, watching Magnus swim so expertly, the water thudding loudly around him.

But I’m not really there. No. I’m lost in my dirty fantasies.
