“The babies were in deep danger, Alpha,” Doctor Alfred—the Alpha’s personal doctor at the state hospital—said, his voice thick with concern. “The mother has gone through a lot of emotional trauma and stress. We have to watch them closely because they now have less than a fifty percent chance of surviving.”
Magnus’ chest slammed open as fear—immense fear like he had never felt before—coursed through him while he listened to the doctor read out Zevara’s health status from the medical files in his hand.
