Zevara’s POV
“What are you doing? You’re hurting Nina,” I screamed out even though my chest raced with fear because of the rage in his eyes.
Nina glanced at me, tears rolling down her eyes. “Leave him alone, Zev. Let him kill me by himself if tat would pacify him. If that would let him know that I don’t want any of this to happen, neither did I choose my means of existence myself.”
Her words tugged at me. It was true. We, children do not even choose our parents so why should we be blamed for our parents sins? Why should their fate and destiny rubbed off us?
The tension between us thickens and damn.. it’s so suffocating as hell—especially that I’m the weakest person in the room. But I stood my ground. Nina is my friend and I owe her my support.
