Zevara’s POV

I glanced at Evans for moments longer than necessary. My eyes and mouth wide open in disbelief. I knew I couldn’t have heard him right—no, I was actually sure I was the one who was mistaken.

I forced a smile at him. “What did you say, Evan?”
